...It is not only a medical journey, VHL has logistical and emotional impacts on the lives of both the patients and everyone around them. Disability, job loss, broken marriages, worries about health insurance and medical expenses, difficult family planning decisions. Debilitating disappointment as talented young people realize the academic, athletic and career dreams they have worked hard for have to be curtailed or given up. Depression, anxiety, panic attacks are inevitable on the VHL patient journey and often are as devastating as the manifestations and surgeries themselves. *
Started by me, a patient, to fill a gap in 2016, VHL Canada has a very small group of volunteers that contributes hundreds of hours annually. Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate a lot or a little.

- $10 per month helps us with website and email domain and hosting costs
- $20 per month helps us cover web-statistics and office software
- $50 (can double in value as a gift card) to help a family with the burden associated with many medical appointments and treatments (parking, travel, prosthetic, groceries, etc)
- $100 per month covers 1 year of the support program by internet or phone

We are volunteer-run. We pay no salaries, just out-of-pocket expenses.
